Received my first professional education in the early 1980s when working for Digital Equipment Corporation, aka DEC. Moved to Apple Computer where technology met the masses, experienced why “1984 won’t be like 1984” which was not just the introduction of the Macintosh, but also mine to the computer reseller world. When Compaq started operations in the Netherlands, I was hired as their first district sales manager, achieving record results.

In 1991 Dell opened it’s doors in Amsterdam and I spent several years as their commercial director, building a professional sales team, developing an international account program and closing deals with large international companies and government institutes which for the most part are stil among their clientele.

In 1996 I set up a company which dealt with the technical issues of IT security, one of the first business partners of Internet Security Systems. After selling this company I once more set up a company active in the Information Security business, but now as an independent consultancy group.
